The NorthStar Garage PP-8HI is a true 8,000 lbs. four-post lift and is one of our most popular hobbyist lifts. This lift incorporates many of the great features of both the NorthStar Garage PP-8HI and the NorthStar Garage PP-9.
Many of our customers drive an SUV or pickup truck and wanted a storage lift that would “go higher” to allow them to park their taller vehicles under the elevated platform. Many of our competitors sell “taller” lifts. However, their “taller” lifts also have longer runways. Our customers requested that we make a lift which lifts higher, but without the extra length (longer runways take up valuable garage space). Most customers want to store a car on top and park a SUV or pickup truck below. The NorthStar Garage PP-8HI has been engineered to provide 79″ of clearance UNDER the bottom of the raised runway. If you need the extra lifting height of the NorthStar Garage PP-9, but do not need the extra width and runway length provided by that lift, then the NorthStar Garage PP-8HI is the perfect choice.
NorthStar Garage PP-8HI series of 4-post lifts (8,000 lb. capacity) are designed and built for use by homeowners or restoration shops. These lifts are not designed for use in commercial repair shops where they would be raised and lowered several times per day. The NorthStar Garage PP-8HI includes free plastic drip trays, a free steel jack tray, and a free caster kit with polyurethane wheels. The caster kit can be installed or removed in just a matter of minutes making the lift portable and allowing it to move between bays or even outside.

This warning is required by the California Proposition 65 (Prop 65), also called the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act which is meant to notify California residents of exposures to Prop 65 listed chemicals that are known to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. The State of California maintains a list of these chemicals and updates in annually. The Prop 65 list currently contains over 900 chemicals and continues to expand. The law requires companies to provide a warning on their products and/or packaging if they contain these chemicals. Proposition 65 only applies to companies that operate, manufacture or sell products in California, but because our products are sold all over the world we have elected to include Prop 65 warnings on all products we sell to provide consumers with information so that they can make informed decisions about the products they purchase and use. The warning does not mean that the product is in violation of any product safety standard, but that certain chemicals may have been used in the manufacturing or packaging production process, even if these products have been used for many years without documented harm.
